Stanozolol is widely sold in the market under the brand name of Winstrol. It is a 17-aa steroid, available in both injectable and oral form. This steroid can be classified as anabolic owing to the fact that it has lower androgenic side effects with lesser aromatization. 

However, it is not so highly anabolic in nature but is commonly used with other steroids in cutting cycles. A version most widely sold in the US, is from Zambon (originally manufactured in Spain), and there are many other versions on the market, one such gaining popularity is Stanobolic from Asia Pharma. Winny is originally derived from dihydrotestosterone.

Stanozolol Stacks

Winstrol stack is usually made of Parabolan (Equipoise) or Primobolan to make a cutting cycle or can be stacked with testosterone to gain tremendous muscle strength. It is also stacked with Sustanon 250 and Testosterone Cypionate for cutting the cycle:

• It is also taken by women, but the dosage should be kept low, to avoid a possible side effect of virilism;
• Muscle gains, which are small but of very high quality, are easily maintained even after the discontinuation of the cycle;
• It is also known to help build stamina.

It is available in the market in the form of 2-10 mg tablets and 50 mg water-based injectable ampoules. The dosage normally comprises 10-30 mg of tablets on a daily basis or 25-50 mg of a more effective injectable version daily which accounts for the total dosage of almost 300 mg of dosage per week. The injectable Winstrol is recommended to be injected on a daily basis also.

The imitated fake products are quite easily available in the market, therefore, caution should be taken in differentiating the original product from the fake one. Users should keep in mind that Zambon tablets come in pink color and usually there are 20 in a strip. The steroid should be separated from water when the vial is left open for some time.

Stanozolol Side Effects

This steroid has, in normal dosages, minor side effects but is harmful to the liver if consumed in oral form. With the structural (c17-AA) alteration, the tablets will place a higher level of stress on the liver than the injectable (which avoids the “first pass”). During longer or higher dosed cycles, liver values should, therefore, be watched closely through regular blood work.

Although less common, the possibility of liver damage cannot be excluded with the injectable version. While it does not enter the body through the liver, it is still broken down by it, providing a lower (but more continuous) level of stress:

• Such stress would, of course, be amplified when adding other c17-AA oral compounds to a cycle of Winstrol;
• When using such combinations, cautious users would make every effort to limit the length of the cycle to the max. 6-8 weeks;
• It is also of note that both versions of Winstrol have been linked to strong adverse changes in HDL/LDL cholesterol levels;
• This side effect is common with anabolic steroid therapy and obviously can become a health concern as the dose/duration of intake increases above normal;
• The oral version should have a greater impact on cholesterol values than the injectable due to the method of administration, and may, therefore, be the worse choice of the two.

The oral use of Stanozolol with high dosages can also have a profound impact on levels of SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin). 

Conclusion

This admittedly is characteristic of all anabolic/androgenic steroids, however, its potency and form of administration make Winstrol particularly noteworthy in this regard. Since plasma binding proteins such as SHBG act to temporarily constrain steroid hormones from exerting activity, this effect would provide a greater percentage of free (unbound) steroid hormone in the body.

This may amount to an effective mechanism in which stanozolol could increase the potency of a concurrently used steroid. To further this purpose we could add Proviron (1 methyl-dihydrotestosterone), which has an extremely high affinity for SHBG.

This affinity may cause Proviron to displace other weaker substrates for SHBG (such as testosterone), another mechanism in which the free hormone level may be increased. Adding Winstrol and Proviron to your next testosterone cycle may, therefore, prove very useful, enhancing the free state of this potent muscle building androgen.
